About this challenge

Some clients want a curse gone. Some yokai only want company. In The Morose Mononokean, Haruitsuki Abeno's teahouse bills in underworld currency, opens gates to the hidden realm, and drafts Hanae Ashiya into the messiest part-time job in high school.

Clues track the series' real splits: human or yokai, present world or underworld, Mononokean duty versus school, temple, medicine house or the three rulers. Season and debut episode cut the list when faces still look alike.

Open wide, then tighten. Students and the Ashiya household live one rhythm; customers and Kakuriyo officials live another. Every guess colors the grid until only one name fits.
